Burt's Bees' Lipstick Swatches & Review

I've always been a big fan of Burt's Bees' lip balms, I've tried all of their flavours I'm pretty sure. It was an exciting news that not just lip treatments and skincare, Burt's Bees' has started to get more into making natural makeup. A girl could never have too many lipsticks, especially now that knowing they're natural and less nasty.

These 100% natural lipsticks come in 14 shades, and as per usual I went for 8 colours that are more natural wearable shades that I would wear on daily basis. When people talk about natural lipsticks, they normally think the colours are sheer and crap, but not these ones! These lipsticks are pigmented, smooth and blend in with your natural lip colour so well. They contain beeswax (of course, it's Burt's Bees'!), moringa oil, raspberry seed oil and vitamin E, so it's really comfortable on the lips throughout the day. They go onto lips as a satin finish, not completely matte, and not too shiny or oily either. They're only $22 NZD each which in my opinion is very fairly priced among all the drugstore lipsticks in New Zealand. And can we just take a moment and give them a huge thumb on the packaging?! I love the coloured beehive design and they make the lipstick look really nice!

Swatches from top to bottom are:
    • 500 Nile Nude
    • 502 Suede Splash
    • 501 Blush Basin
    • 523 Sunset Cruise
    • 530 Lily Lake
    • 511 Magenta Rush
    • 514 Brimming Berry
    • 531 Juniper Water

It's really hard to pick a favourite, but I think my favourite are Blush Basin, sunset Cruise and Suede Splash. And Juniper Water looks very unique on the lips, definitely a lovely fall and winter colour!

Have you guys tried any 100% natural lipsticks before and how was your experience?
