Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette Swatches & Review

I'm definitely late to get my hands on the Revealed palette family from Coastal Scents as I didn't get the first two palette. The colours looked amazing and I've seen great reviews, but you know, there's always something you left in cart and never remembered to purchase!
Lucky enough I got the Revealed 3 Palette* in hand this time, and will show you guys the shadows in pan, swatches, and let you know what I think about this palette.

The palette has a really good collection of neutrals: matte cream and matte beige to highlight brownness, two different matte brown for crease area as transition shades, a bunch of cool toned shimmer neutral shades to create different looks; plus some pink, plummy and purple shades in the palette too. One of the thing I found is  that the neutral shades in this palette are all quite cool toned, the lack of warmth in the palette made the eye looks that I created with this palette looking a bit too grey and muddy. I sorta wish that there's less colourful shades and replaced them with some warm neutrals but then it may look too similar to Revealed 1.

Here are swatches of all the shadows: (on bare skin without primer)

Most of the shadows are super pigmented and creamy. I was actually really impressed with all the matte shades, they're so smooth, buttery and pigmented. Although there are a few shimmer shades are super powdery, they still are somewhat buttery (it doesn't sound like I'm making any sense, but the texture is really hard to describe) at the same time.

I found that all the neutral shimmery shades are not as pigmented once you apply them to your eyelid compared to the swatches shown on the arm, even with high end primers underneath it. On the other hand, the purple and burgundy shades are really bold and just as pigmented as arm swatches when you apply them.

And here is a photo with pans and swatches altogether:

Overall I'd say this palette is still a great investment as it's only $20 for 20 shades, $1 each pan is a great value for what you're getting! It's a great palette if you're looking into plummy and purple shades that are wearable, and also with some bonus neutrals colours to work with the colours. Although if you only want to get neutral colours in a palette then this isn't the best palette to get for you (Revealed 1 or Revealed 2 might be the best), as the neutral colour selection is really lean towards the cool tone side and lack of warm neutral shades.

Have you guys tried any palettes from the Revealed Palette collection from Coastal Scents? If so what do you think about them? Let me know in the comments down below!

  3. The colour shades really are! Although the light shimmery neutral shades are unfortunately not as pigmented when you apply to eyelid :(

  9. This looks great. I have one palette from Coastal Scents and still working on getting through them! haha. The purple shades look so pretty so I'm glad those are as pigmented as they appear on your arm swatch. =)
