Most of products I always switch around, from foundation to eyeshadow, lipsticks, lip balm and perfume. There was never one thing I repurchased continuously and use every single day. Say hi to my 4th tube of L'occitane en Provence Shea Butter Hand Cream!
The first time I found out about this hand cream, was one of the French exchange students we had at high school who bought me this hand cream as a gift all the way from France. The young naive 16 years Bonnie didn't even know such a brand. The thickness of this hand cream put me off at first sight, and the smell didn't attract me as much compared to other fruity or floral scent hand cream.
Although I kept using it every day. I found that the texture is quick thick and creamy, but actually very easy to absorb. My hands feel moisturised a lot longer after using this L'occitane one than using other hand cream. I finished the first tube very slowly, as a teenager, and it still didn't shine for some reason.
When I left China to go to New Zealand for good when I was 17, I bought my 2nd tube at airport duty free. The only reason I bought my 2nd one was simply "I knew this brand", "apparently it was one of the best" and "it was so much cheaper at duty free". But as I grew a bit older, I really started to appreciate the scent of this hand cream. It's so subtle and calming, and with the luxurious thick creamy texture. I fell in love with it, at the end, deeply!!
I've been kept buying one or two every time I go through duty free now. And it's such a great hand cream to gift others too, as it's old fashion metal tube, the generous size, and quality itself, you cannot go wrong! It's been the hand cream I use every single night now before I go to bed. I use other ones during the day and leave in my handbag, and keep switching around to try out something different all the time. But the one in my bedside cabinet will never change probably.
If you're still like the teenager Bonnie that hadn't tried this hand cream before, you should! I'm just obsessed with the metal tube, and the hand cream itself, and the scent, and everything! Wouldn't you?
