Something not related to the topic first. This week has been kinda depressing for me. My grand dad just past away on Monday night. I can't go back home to China in the middle of my last semester at uni. I feel super sorry for my dad and the rest of my family for our loss and finally realise how inconvenient it is to live in a different country to the rest of your family, especially when things like this happen. Let's take a moment here first and send our thoughts to my family.
Life still moves on, there's nothing I can actually do since I'm not even there with my family apart form talking to dad on phone a lot this week. All my uni assignments and stuff are going crazy. But on the bright side, I've got a parcel from US which contains a few goodies from Sephora and Nordstrom that I've been wanted for a while. The parcel kinda did some retail therapy on me and cheered me up a little bit...
I don't know how long I've been wanted to get this brush! As you may or may not know, it has been sold out on both NARS's website and Nordstrom for a long while. Some people thought it got discounted but actually was just out of stock the whole time. I've followed up a few blog posts about Ita Brush, apparently NARS just didn't have enough supply, and every time when it comes back in stock just gets sold out straight away. NARS even has put price up a lot more, but it didn't stop all the people going crazy over this little guy.
I've been testing this brush out for a few days now. I can totally see why literally everyone raves about it! It is so convenient and easy to apply bronzer to contour everywhere on your face. The bristles are a lot softer than I expected, but it works well so I definitely wouldn't complain about that. And the design of this brush is just so unique and has a really high end feel.
Functions, check. The look, check! What else I need to say about this brush?
I'm a big fan of Lauren Curtis and have seen her using this concealer in her video pretty much every single time. And a few other beauty gurus also have been raving about this product.
My thoughts on this concealer is that it has a ridiculously good coverage, almost like a cream concealer but still in a liquid form. But the downside is that I found it can look a little bit cakey under my eyes on some days cause it is a thick-ish concealer. I think I still prefer the formula of MAC Pro Longwear under my eyes than this. But the wand application, the amazing coverage it has, still made it one of the best liquid concealers in the market for sure! I definitely will keep using this and I'm sure you guys will see it in some up coming tutorial soon as well.
Here's also a swatch of the concealer, both unblended and blended:
Have you tried either of these two products? If so what do you think? If not I'm sure they would be sitting on your wishlist. I totally recommend both and so happy I finally got them!!
Thanks for reading guys, have a lovely weekend! ♥
