Sleek Celestial Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

This is my 8th Sleek eyeshadow palette, I think this is enough to say how much I love them! If you guys haven't tried this brand Sleek, it's a UK brand that are super affordable, yet the quality is up there with some high end brands. I especially love their packaging, they totally remind me of NARS, apart from that rubbery feel that NARS has...

Sleek Celestial Eyeshadow Palette
1st row: Solar, Astral Blue, Aurora, Galactic, Earth Shine, Dark Matter
2nd row: Stargaze, Saturn's Ring, Meteoric, Terrestrial, Lunar, Eclipse

Sleek Celestial Eyeshadow Palette
1st row: Solar, Astral Blue, Aurora, Galactic, Earth Shine, Dark Matter
Solar is a metallic cranberry with silver glitter.
The pigmentation is build-able but not my favourite.

Astral Blue is a matte cornflower blue with silver glitter.
Pigmentation isn't that great at all, silver glitter are really chunky and doesn't really go with the actual eyeshadow to be honest.

Aurora is a matte pine green with silver glitter.
Same as the two colours above, I don't really like the silver glitter in these shadows. Although this green color is super pigmented!! Such a beautiful color and the way it glides on is really nice.

Galactic is a metallic cool toned silver.
The texture is quite creamy and the finish of this eyeshadow has a really metallic sheen, instead of a full pigmentation metallic silver.

Earth Shine is a matte dark blue with silver glitter.
Formulation and glitter is same as the first three eyeshadow. As I said I don't really like this kinda glitter. And pigmentation of this shade isn't that great.

Dark Matter is a matte black with silver glitter.
Similar formulation and same sorta glitter gain. Although the pigmentation of this shade is much much better than the other colors in this row!

Sleek Celestial Eyeshadow Palette
2nd row: Stargaze, Saturn's Ring, Meteoric, Terrestrial, Lunar, Eclipse
Stargaze is a matte lilac with a hint of mauve undertone.
This eyeshadow is sooooo pigmented for a matte lilac! Absolutely fell in love the first time I touched this shadow.

Saturn's Ring is a metallic duo toned purple, with a reflection of blue when you move.
This color is the shade of this palette! Honestly just this purple on its own already worth the price of this whole palette. It has a similar duo tone formulation just like Betrayal from Urban Decay Vice 2 ( <-- click to see my review and swatches) which was my favourite color from the Vice 2 Palette! Also see the swatches below to see the comparison of the two eyeshadows.

Meteoric is a matte mauve red.
Not a bad pigmentation for a completely matte shade. The color is quite unique I almost don't know how to describe it (my description is probably still not 100% close...)

Terrestrial is a matte mint green.
The worst shadow in this palette! I was really looking forward to try this color when I first opened the palette. Although the pigmentation of this color is so poor, I can hardly see it after a few good swatches.

Lunar is a metallic cool toned silver.
This shade looks more blue in the pan, but once you swatch it you barely can see the blue in this, more like just a cool toned silver. Color is similar to Galactic from the 1st row, although this is a lot more pigmented. Such a gorgeous metallic silver!

Eclipse is a metallic duo toned brown, with a reflection of green.
I don't know why but I love all the duo toned eyeshadows, they are so unique and cool. This shade is quite pigmented and the duo tone affect just made a normal boring brown so special!

Left: SATURN'S RING from Sleek Celestial Palette
Right: BETRAYAL from Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette
Comparison of Saturn's Ring from this Sleek Celestial Eyeshadow palette, and Betrayal from Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette. Don't they just look similar?! Definitely a 95%+ dupe! Although the Urban Decay one has lightly more metallic shine in there, but I would call it close.

Conclusion:
Overall I think Celestial is a unique color eyeshadow palette since it was "festival" themed. Although I don't like the glitter shades from the 1st row that much. I definitely don't like this palette as much as my other Sleek eyeshadow palette which I totally LOVE!

  1. There are some stunning shades like that iridescent lilac, the teal and the blue but I'm not a fan of the glitter shades either and I'm not sure what to do with silver and a pale green and a red! I love their palettes, I have 3 but hope to get more in the future!

    1. exactly, I really don't know what to do with the glitter shades cause I don't like the texture and I feel like the glitter doesn't go with the shadows. If you haven't tried their "Storm" or "Vintage Romance" palettes you should definitely get your hands on them, they're absolutely amazing unlike this one is just "average"...

    1. It's sorta like MAC Blue Brown pigment, apart from this has green reflect instead of blue, and not as pigmented. But still a super gorgeous and unique color <3

  6. Do you buy your sleek products directly from their site or do you buy them from other sites like makeup.co.nz, because I haven't really heard much in relation to their shipping and I would be keen to know your experience if you do get it directly from them?

  7. I used to buy from Sleek directly, their shipping fee is pretty cheap. But later I had a calculation with the exchange rate and realised that makeup.co.nz is pretty similar price tag and they do free shipping if you buy over 50 I think, and you receive it in like a day or two! So if you hate waiting then definitely go for your local shop, there's not much price difference
