Milani Baked Blush Review & Swatches

I feel like these Milani Baked Blush have been taking over Instagram lately... But look at them why wouldn't they? I actually had some of these shades for a long while, but my collection has got slightly bigger for me to do a detailed review post on them since I got the two new MATTE shades 10 Delizioso Pink and 11 Bella Rose...

Milani Baked Blushes: Dolce Pink, Rose Doro, Berry Amore, Luminoso, Delizioso Pink, Bella Rose
Seriously just look at them, how stunning are they? I feel like the golden packaging just boosted them to the prettiest blushes I know from drugstore line. Although actual packaging materiel or weight doesn't feel high end at all, just some light cheap plastic.

Now time for some swatches!

Milani Baked Blush Swatches, Left to Right:
Dolce Pink, Rose Doro, Berry Amore, Luminoso, Delizioso Pink, Bella Rose
01 Dolce Pink is a shimmery light pink with refined gold and silver glitter.
If you're into pink blush then you can not miss on this one. This is probably the most shimmery one out of these 6 shades that I own.

02 Rose Doro is a shimmery peach with refined gold glitter.
I was obsessed with this color for a very long time, highly recommend. This color is also quite shimmery compared to the rest of blushes.

03 Berry Amore is a shimmery muted rose with refined gold and silver glitter.
I wear this blush whenever I wear slightly more "mature" kinda makeup look, does it make sense? Anyway just some more autumn and winter kinda style makeup. This looks subtle on the cheeks and still give you that nice color and glow at the same time.

05 Luminoso is a shimmer light peach.
My currently go to blush at the moment. It just makes you look so healthy and sun kissed. Apparently this is the closet "dupe" to the NARS Orgasm Blush from the drugstore market. Although I don't have NARS Orgasm yet. I've already ordered mine, so once I receive it I'll do an updated comparison and dupe alert post for you guys on these two blushes.

10 Delizioso Pink is a matte baby pink with strong blue undertone.
Really strong blue undertone, definitely a barbie kinda pink. Would look amazing on some really pale girls, or whoever looking for a barbie pink matte blush.

11 Bella Rose is a matte raspberry pink.
This shade is extremely pigmented! I wouldn't recommend really pale girls to get this one because it's so hard to control how much you put on even if you're careful due to the crazy pigmentation, even though this is such a gorgeous blush that everyone want to have. And if you have dark complexion, then congratulation this would look banging on you!

* All the colours would look more sheer once it's blended out. This is just a solid swatch so you guys can see the colours well enough.

Here is the final look of blushes and swatches together, hope this is helpful for you guys to see the color from both the pan and from my swatches.

Milani Baked Blush Swatches, Left to Right:
Dolce Pink, Rose Doro, Berry Amore, Luminoso, Delizioso Pink, Bella Rose

Pros:
  • Amazing pigmentation!
  • Gives skin a healthy glow.
  • The glitters in these blushes are so so fine, you almost can't tell there's glitters in there.
  • These aren't too shimmery in my opinion, just a really nice glow. (The shimmeriness was the thing I worried about before my first ever purchase, but once you apply it onto your cheeks you shouldn't have that worry any more!)
  • All the colors are really wearable and super gorgeous.
  • Really affordable, drugstore price!
  • Love the color of packaging, aren't they just gorgeous?!

Cons:
  • The brush that comes with this blush is bad quality, I wouldn't use it for blush ever. It's such a waste of packaging room, I'd rather just not have that 2nd layer for brush at all then this product would have no cons!!

Conclusion:
My favourite drugstore blushes ever. The pigmentation of these baked babies are just amazing. The shimmer in these blushes are just the right amount. If you apply them properly, they should look just healthy and glowy on your cheeks instead of too much shimmer/glitter.
Overall the quality is outstanding, price is still drugstore line, Milani you nailed this product seriously! I can not pick any other flaws apart from the bad quality brush you get from the packaging, which is quite unnecessary. Although I would not complain about this at all, this is already a perfect blush in my opinions.
If you haven't got your hands on them yet you definitely should give at least one or two a go! For the price you can't go wrong at all can you?

  1. I've been debating whether or not to try a Milani blush for a while but I've had my reservations. Your post finally just convinced me to grab one while I'm out tomorrow. Now I just have to decide between Dolce Pink, Rose Doro, and Luminoso. Any recommendations for a pale girl?

    1. I'm sure you won't regret for making this decision!! It really depends on if you're more of a pink blush girl or peachy blush girl. I've been obsessed with Luminoso lately, it's just a really natural healthy color for everyday! But Rose Doro was my favourite for a very long time too <3 Decisions, decisions...

  2. how long lasting are they for you? i have luminoso (which i love), but it doesn't seem to stay on me for more than 1 hour... could be my dry skin type or lack of a better primer?

    1. I don't find these to wear off too much on my skin. If you have really really dry skin then you should definitely should look into some cream blush, I would recommend to try NYX cream blush, affordable and great quality! Or if you still want to use powder blush, you have to make sure you skin is moisturised enough before your foundation and any cheek products, and seal everything with a setting spray would help as well. Hope this is helpful xx

    1. I'm looking forward to collect them all, maybe apart from fantastico mauve cause I feel like I would never use this color. You can get them on CherryCulture and they do ship internationally ;)

  9. Great review you have here! Luminoso is fantastic, it's the only blush I have from the line and I am in LOVVEEEE. Need to get my hands on other blushes from them, that's for sure! Packaging on this blush aren't the best though, I do wish that it was a lot slimmer! New follower, looking forward to seeing your new posts.

  14. Very disappointed I bought Berry Amore & Delizioso Pink online going by these swatched and they don't look anything like that in real life. Berry Amore is much more of an orange tones bronze & Delizioso Pink is a darker Fuschia color !

    1. The swatches I did on my arm was very accurate to true colour Dar! You should always have in mind that everyone has different skin tone. When you look up swatches online, always bear in mind if the person swatches has dramatically different skin tone to yours!! I'm between NC30-35 with a very strong yellow undertone.
Computer monitors also shows different colour and brightness between models! As long as I adjusted picture on my screen to the true colour I see, I don't think I should be the one getting blamed!
