Sigma Creme de Couture Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

The moment I saw the new product email from Sigma about this Crème de Couture Collection I knew I had to get it! French macaroon inspired + bright pastel colors, which girl wouldn't want this right? ...

So this is how the outer packaging (with lid on) and the actual palette look like (without lid). The packaging color is super cute and girly! There're 16 shades of eyeshadow in the box and every single color is matte.
Bright pastel colors and all matte shades are definitely unique for an eyeshadow palette! That's why I was so excited when I first saw this!!
Even though it just went into fall for the Northern Hemisphere, but don't forget we're in spring in New Zealand and Australia! ;) So I can't be happier to try this out for all the spring and summer makeup look. <3

Here is swatches of all 16 eyeshadow colors:

First thing is the pigmentation. They appear a lot more vibrant in the box than the actual color after blended out on to bare skin without primer (due to they're all matte finish), but you can definitely get the bright bold color back by using some eyeshadow primer first (white based primer would get even better results).

I swatched everything on bare skin without any primer.

Here are the swatches for each row:

Pros:

- pastel colors are so gorgeous <3
- all 16 shades are matte finish
- cute design and packaging

Cons:

- no mirror in the palette
- the lid is not attached to the palette, not as convenient sometimes
- color pay-off is average, it's understandable due to the matte finish

Conclusion:
Don't get me wrong about the pigmentation parts that I mentioned. This is still a really amazing palette! Most of matte eyeshadow palettes in the market these days are more towards the neutral color side, that makes this pastel/bright color matte eyeshadow palette really unique. Love the color combination of this palette and can't wait to do create some spring/summer or neon colorful makeup look with it! ^_^Price: $32.00

  3. You picked a beautiful palette, I love matte shades but unfortunately they are not as pigmented as shimmery ones.
I'd love to try some mint eye look x

    1. to be honest I think most of colorful matte shades from brands like Sleek and BH Cosmetics are way more pigmented than this one, and they're cheaper. I have love and hate about this Sigma palette, it's not that pigmented but still love the color combination though.

I just checked your blog and followed! your blog looks amazing! love your photo style!! xx
